On April 24, a meeting was held on the renewal of the official website of Sumgayit State University (SSU). The meeting was attended by the heads of the structures. Vice-Rector for Social Affairs and Public Relations of SSU, Associate Professor Elmar Khalilov opened the meeting and noted that, proceeding from the Decree of President Ilham Aliyev on the “Artificial Intelligence Strategy of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2025–2028”, important steps have been taken in this direction at Sumgayit State University, as in all institutions. He said that it is important to renew the official website of the university, because the site is considered the “face” of the higher education institution and should reflect all its activities. For this purpose, it was proposed to create a working group and the heads of the structures were instructed to submit their ideas and proposals within a short period of time. The meeting also made proposals to increase the functionality of the official website of the university. It was noted that a modern search system should be created on the site, and a registration and personal cabinet section should be implemented for students and teachers. In addition, it was considered important to open new departments in faculties and present information in a more systematic and accessible form. It was emphasized that these innovations will serve the digital development of the university and increase information accessibility.
