On May 16,virtual  laboratory researches under “Modern Atomic Physics” were presented in the faculty of Physics and Electric Energetics .
The Rector of the University professorElkhanHusseynov, Vice-rector on Teaching Organization and Training - associate professorNatigTalibov,vice-rector of Humanitarian Affairs-associate professorNizamiNamazov, the dean of the faculty- associate professor TamellaAhmadova and professor- teaching staff  took part in the presentation.
Associate professor SevdaRzayeva  speaking about the importance of Modern Atomic Physics notified that nowadays Physics is a leading force of scientific and technical progress. Therefore it is necessary to improve students’ knowledge by means of laboratory work .She pointed that the textbook “Modern Atomic Physics” intended for secondary and high school students compiled as a result of laboratory researches would be published soon under her authorship.
It is the first textbook in Azerbaijan for students of physics and electric energetics faculty compiled on the basis of virtual laboratory researches.
The book is based on considerations, theoretical explanations of every topic, the principles of operation of virtual experimental facilities. A wide range of video materials and tests on the topics are given in the book.
The rector of the university professor ElkhanHusseynov made a speech in the presentation. He pointed that on the modern stage of development the value of science is growing steadily. Nowadays there is no such sphere of social life that one is able to succeed without referring to the latest achievements of science.
As the national liderHeydarAliyev said “Now the World is the world of culture, intellect,scientific and technical progress”.
There is a social need for the development of science in Azerbaijan. The achievements are gained in the field of the training of national staff in the use of new technologies and modern equipment. In this respect science is a cultural event on one hand, on the other hand it is an integral part of the economy.
Today the young staff  working in our  university meet the requirements of IlhamAliyev’s  successful policy toward the  “Transformation of oil capital into human capital” highly. Scientific research is constantly expanding and deepening the physical model of the world. It can only be achieved through experiments and observations. Today’s physical experience in virtual laboratory will helpthe students to investigate complex physical process in future.
In the end the third year students of physics and electric energetics faculty AyselQasimova, BanovshaAbdullayeva, GunelQadiyeva, ShabnamMazakova, AynurQadimli, TabarakBabashova, made their presentations on the topic.
