Protection of Human rights and independence is one of the most actual problems. In thisrespect on May 20 there was held a ceremony in the frame of "Protection of Human Rights and Independence".The ceremony was opened by the vice-rector on Humanitarian issues N.Namazov and he noted that "Protection of Human Rights and Independence" is in the centre of attention in our republic. In our country everybody has equal opportunities and right of the citizens are provided. After restoring its independence the Azerbaijan Republic as a fully righted member of world community accepted the values of common mankind and chose the democrative world and legislative state building as the development course. Vice-rector emphasized that National Leader Heydar Aliyev was the architecture and builder of modern independent Azerbaijan and noted that nowadays development course of our country held by our president Ilham Aliyev’s successful internal and external policy is based on the main law – Constitution.Vice-rector noted that created as the first constitution of the Azerbaijan Republic with the administration of National Leader it plays a greatrole in the development of statehood in our country, juridicial state building and forming democratic values. He also told about the importance of each citizen’s participation in prosperity of modern and independent Azerbaijan created by Heydar Aliyev and noted that the head of our state Ilham Aliyev’s international and interstate beneficial activity for the sake of territorial integraty of the Azerbaijan Republic is maintained by each lawyers. The activity of our Republic in this field is distinguished by enrolling the international organization of universal and regional character and joining plenty of international contracts recently. The essential part of these contracts directed to the protection of human rights and independence. The Azerbaijan Republic enrolled these international contracts to its legislation system and carries international liabilities successfully. Being the vital means of international relations regulation among the states, of interstate cooperation development international contracts are becoming structural part of national legislation.Then the chief lawyer of the university assistant professor Emine Hesenova gavea report on “The formation and activity courses of Ombudsman Institution” and a comprehensive information to the participants about the steps in the protection of human rights and independence in our country, the accepted state programmes, court-juridicial reforms with the administration of Mr. President Ilham Aliyev recently. She also noted that the aim of holding this month is defining the success, problems and solution in the field of human rights in a year. During the month range of ceremonies are held by state agencies, citizen society institutions and all the strata of the society are involved to this process. The ceremonies held by agencies dealing with the human rights, state organs, non-governmental organizations and other organizations are directed to the propaganda of human rights, to the protection of various groups of people and to the solution of their problems. İnformation about gaining success and current difficulties should be presented to the Ombudsman and on the base of it corresponding recommendations should be given to the plenipotentiary organs.The second course students of the faculty of History and Geography fegan Sefereliyev spoke on the topic of “Modern status of protection of human rights and independence in Azerbaijan”, Nijat Ismayilov on the topic of “The policy of tolerance and multiculturalism in Azerbaijan is an obvious sample of protection of human rights and independence”, they also talked about the importance of declaring 2016 the multiculturalism year. The students noted that our country has been a multicultural place from the outset, regardless of their race, language, and religion all the people are respected of their customs and traditions, beliefs and culture.
