On May 14-21, 2016 at the American Days festival is held in the Azerbaijan Republic. The purpose of the Days of of American Culture is to demonstrate the diversity of American culture to Azerbaijani people and to enhance mutual relations between two countries. Participants will perform a concert in many regions of the country.
For this reason, on May 17, 2016 the American Days with a concert programme were organized by the American Embassy in Sumgait. "Silver City Bound" group from New York sang blues, rock and classic American songs.
The Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Philology of SSU A. Abdullayev, the Head of the Department of Foreign Languages Professor Isgandarova N., the head teacher Karimova D., and teacher Yakhyaeva. K with the students of the group 976 of  "Foreign language teacher" speciality took part in the concert.
Students were closely acquainted with American art. Musical performances played by the group Silver City Bound with  Azerbaijani musicians gave a special enthusiasm to the audience.
In an interview with the head of the department of Foreign Languages Professor N. Iskenderova, the Cultural Attache of the US Delegation Amy Peterson said  about her future plans of organizing the concert in Sumqait State University.
