On May 23, the scientific seminar dedicated to "Environment Day" was held  with the support of the  Career Center, the chair of “Ecology and Use of Nature”, department No. 4 of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources in Sumgait city and IB club.
Opening the seminar, head of the Department of “Ecology and Use of Nature “ Rahila Ahmadova spoke about the work had been done for the  recent years in Azerbaijan in the direction of solving environmental problems, the state's care to this field, the adopted state programs and the significant role of the environment.
The collaborator of the department No. 4 of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources in Sumgait Elmar Musayev , head of the Centre of Environmental Education and Experience Emilya Safaralieva stated in their speech the main goal of environmental policy pursued in Azerbaijan, talked about the protection of ecological systems and economic potential for the sake of present and future generations and about the efficient use of natural resources .
In the seminar connected with the professional holiday of employees of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, the students of the faculty “Chemistry and Biology” Gulgaz Mammadova, Gulzar Ibadova, Nasiba Babayeva, Fatimeyi-Zahra Maharramova, Fatima Muradkhanova spoke on various topics.
