Sumgait State University on May 26, financed bythe Council of State Support to NGOs under the President of Azerbaijan Republic, "specializing in military topics Journalists" Public Union and "United Azerbaijan" newspaper, the  project of "National security depends on the position of citizenship"  was held.
Opening the conference, the Vice President for Humanitarian Affairs of SSU, Associate Professor NizamiNamazov gave information about the object and purpose of the event. He said that Azerbaijan is living  in martial law  for many years. National security and the security of government information are  major factors in the realization of army building. In this regard,  being careful in spreading disinformation about the army in  media and social network is the duty of each of us .  The dissemination of information about the army is much more sensitive  point. The growth  of modern youth in the spirit of sensitiveness and national security is also major points. They are quite necessary measures.
Chairman of the Association of Military Journalists project manager, "United Azerbaijan" newspaper editor ZiyaddinogluTamkhil said that the main objective of the implementation of the projectis to provide information support with the help of students and active users of social media, the independence, sovereignty, territorial integrity and constitutional structure and the assassination attempts against the national security, as well as to the state bodies in the fight against abuses that threaten the security of the information society. The Constitution gives everyone the freedom to receive and impart information.
On the instructions of the great leader, censorship was abolished in 1998. Today, there are  2 million users of the social network. In the  "Az" website domain has registered  20 000 web sites. All this shows that the government of Azerbaijan  isinterested in ensuring the information and freedom of expression  in online media and social networks. The enemy  can easily access the information they need from media. Currently, the expansion of virtual information space, the violation of national and international public opinion  createfavourable conditions for those who try to divert the political process. Our goal is to help our journalists, particularly in the social network activists and  to protect the interests of our country, to defend the policy information in front of incidents distorted enlighten to prevent the spread of false information.
