On July 19,there took place an expanded meeting of the university  administration.In  the meeting, organized in Heydar Aliyev Center, the rector of the university, professor Elkhan Huseynov spoke about the work done and upcoming issues. Then the vice- rectors, deans and heads of departments gave reports on the current year.
Associate director of the Center for Teaching Methodology  Isabala Gurbanov said on his report about Summer School that, in accordance with paragraph 3.4 of the decision № 348  about the approval of the  " The rules of the  organization of training with credit system for higher education institutions in  undergraduate and graduate levels on  December 24, 2013  summer semester was organized at the university. The  summer schools are organized by the university  for the giving  students' deficits. 5 weeks of the summer schools is  planned for theoretical courses  while on the 6th week the exams are organized. Summer School started on July 13. The subjects are taught in faculties. The excessive amount  depends on  the credit of the subject. Each subject has its own credits. 592 students applied for the summer courses ,they are attending classes in 114 groups. 55 students from the Department of Mathematics, 39 students from Faculty of Engineering, 158 students from the Faculty of History and Geography, 53 students from the  Faculty of  Economics and Management, 47 students from  the  Faculty of Chemistry and Biology,170 students from the faculty of  Physics and power engineering, 70 students from the Faculty of Philology. The classes are strictly controlled. Classes will continue until August 16. The exam will be held on August 17 and 20.
