All conditions are supplied by university for the students in order to improve their skills.
The key goal of Fulbright program is to develop an outlook of students and to improve their English speaking skills. By these purposes, the representative of Fullbright ETA program Ms. Keila Morton arranged the conversation club in Philological faculty. The conversation club invites the students interested in the study of America and improvement of English speaking skills. The classes are conducted under the interactivities and musical scenes. Besides, the different topics are the subject of the discussions. The classes are taking place twice a week (Monday and Friday at 12:30). The students have got the discussions about the culture of America and the interests of Americans. Generally, the goal of the conversation club is to support an improvement of English speaking skills.
The students of 1st, 2nd and 3rd courses educated on specialty of “English teaching” have got the separate conversation clubs in order to apply their knowledge into practice. For instance, the students of 3rd course acquired knowledge to express their ideas by the different ways during the conversation club. The students were presented by the new vocabulary regarding the topics on personality, hobby and interests. The students made a dialogue and wrote essays about “Personal information”. The next topic of the conversation club was the “student’s life in America”. The students took an active part by setting the questions and clarified the ways in order to compare themselves with American students. Hereinafter, the students got to know the similarities and the differences between the American and Azerbaijani students.
