Being our point of honor and pride, the Day of The State Flag was solemnly celebrated in Sumgait as well as in the other regions of Azerbaijan. The Head of Executive Power of Sumagait, Mr. Z.Farajov, law enforcement agencies, parliamentarians, the students and the lecturers of our university, public servants, soldiers, thousands of city inhabitants took part at this event. The flag march, get started out of the different points of the city, and has ended in the flag square of Sumgait in front of the  Executive Power of the city. The Flag March joined by thousands of inhabitants get started from three directions, namely from the boulevard, HeydarAliyev Center and “Piece” street. The participants of the march have moved to the flag square with our three colored flags on their hands. An event speech was dedicated to the symbol meanings of the flag and its national and spiritual essence. It was noted that the State Flag is the symbol of sovereignty of Azerbaijan, the state attribute to represent Azerbaijan among the countries worldwide, the reflection of the nation’s independence and independent ideas. At the mean time it comes to be an incarnation of the national existence and the point of belief and trust for the each citizen. An event went on with a concert by the end.
