The creation of The New Azerbaijan Party, founded by national leader Haydar Aliyev, is the source of pride for each of us. The party has included more than five hundred thousand members and owned a great reputation in the history of our statehood. The “Role of New Azerbaijan Party to strengthen the state independence of Azerbaijan” was the matter of the meeting held in Haydar Aliyev Center on Nov 21. The meeting dedicated to the 24th anniversary of foundation of New Azerbaijan Party. 
Making an opening speech the rector of the university professor Mr. Elkhan Huseynov spoke about the historical role of the party for the statehood of Azerbaijan, which is big political power in the country. The speaker noted that the national leader HaydarAliyev played an essential role for the formation of statehood of Azerbaijan. The achievements on state building, economic growth and the development of social-political life of the modern Azerbaijan in the past 30 years are belonging to Mr. Haydar Aliyev. Herein pointing out the deep crisis during 90th in Azerbaijan the rector noted that the national leader Mr. HaydarAliyev’s efforts brought about an elimination of that crisis of the state and nation. Thus, hereinafter The New Azerbaijan Party, playing a significant role in the life of Azerbaijan, was founded on public and nation request. The recent higher achievements of the country  is dealt with the activity of New Azerbaijan Party, founded by national leader and nowadays is running under the leadership of the President Mr. Ilham Aliyev. Mr. Huseynov emphasized that since the foundation of the party many was done in order for the preservation of independence, determination of duly attitude worldwide, strengthening of statehood, growth of economic and restoration of the state independence. A great man, Mr. Haydar Aliyev noted that to serve to New Azerbaijan Party is to serve to the nation. The New Azerbaijan Party is nation’s party. The party is developed , the reputation and the activity in order to strengthen the statehood of the country is grown up day by day under the leadership  of Mr. Ilham Aliyev.
Head of Organizing Office of Sumgait branch of NAP, Mr. Vezirkhan Ansarov had a speech on Party’s significant role in order to solve the problematic issues during the 24 years activity, to establish and strengthen the civil state and on the important works done in that way. T The dean of faculty on history and geography, Professor Mr. Adil Bakhshaliyev had a report on subject “Heydar Aliyev is an architect of Azerbaijan’s statehood” and noted that the present Azerbaijan is the great work of Heydar Aliyev.  Its preservation and the development are successfully running under the leadership of worthy successor of national leader the president Mr. Ilham Aliyev. The policy of national leader is lasted and conducted by the leadership of Mr. Ilham Aliyev. The successful realization of Haydar Aliyev’s policy is bringing about the steady independence, the strong statehood and very reputation of Azerbaijan Republic in the international arena.     
The professor Mr. Shirkhan Salimov, (the head of department of New and Newest History of the European and American history) by making a speech on “ Haydar Aliyev’s role for the formation of foreign policy of Independent Azerbaijan Republic” he noted that the foreign policy based on domestic policy is great of importance. The foreign policy defined by Haydar Aliyev above all is targeted to set up and to develop an equal and efficient ties with all countries worldwide. The diplomacy of Azerbaijan is experiencing a sustainable growth thanks to the very mobile principles of the foreign policy set by Haydar Aliyev. Thus, at present Azerbaijan is member of famous international organizations and takes an active part thereby. The nation of Azerbaijan has to thank Haydar Aliyev accordingly. 
The lecturer of faculty of Azerbaijan’s history Mr. Gunay Shukurova shares on “The role of New Azerbaijan Party in order to strengthen the state independence of Azerbaijan Republic” she notified that the creation of the party was great of importance by historical point of view.  The party’s foundation in Nakhichevan Autonomous Republic on 21, 1992 was the significant step towards the development of Azerbaijan. The NAP has became a unique political power is to show the national interest of our nation and to represent the national and social will. The party is leader either in the country or in the regional area. 
The second course student of the faculty of Geography and History Ali Miriyev made a report on the public and social activity of national leader Haydar Aliyev for the development of the state independence of Azerbaijan Republic”. The speaker delivered to the minds that the great person, the national leader played an essential role to strengthen the state independence, political and economical bases and statehood traditions of the country and meanwhile, he did the best in order  Azerbaijan to  become a full and equal member of international union. 
Afterwards, Mr. Hasan Sadigov (the head of department of Philosophy and Law), the writer Mr. Avaz Makhmud Leledag  and the other speakers mentioned in their speeches that the NAP is the leading political power of Azerbaijan and carries out the great mission of wills’ realization of the citizens. As the national leader said “The NAP is the party of the past, present and the future.”
