The rector Elkhan Huseynov: “The political way of Great Leader is successfully led by the president Mr. Ilham Aliyev ”
Joining the immortality by his death, turning into the permanent honorable inhabitant of Alley of Honors, gaining an eternity in the system of nation and state relationships and being the source of honor for each azerbaijanian from the point of Azerbaijanism ideology of view, the Great Leader will live in the hearts of the nation that until exists and will convince everybody by the idea of permanent, everlasting and strong independence.
SSU is running a series of events dedicated to the Memorial Day of the Great Leader, an architect and the builder of Azerbaijan State. The arranged essay contests in the faculties dedicated to the Great Leader’s life and activity are the results of those events. As the part of the events, the Great Leader’s 13th anniversary of death has been held in Dec 8.
Initially, the participants memorized the National Great Leader by the deep esteem and put the flowers at his statue in the foyer. Making an opening speech in the event arranged by Haydar Aliyev Center the rector professor Elkhan Huseynov mentioned that 13 years has already passed since the death of The Great Leader, the famous public figure worldwide and the builder and architect of Azerbaijan. He noted that the Great leader was the distinguished person with the great talent and rich statehood experience who turned into the live legend being alive and he represented Azerbaijan by great honor and dignity in the world. Meanwhile, the speaker stressed that while the leadership of Heydar Aliyev he increased the reputation of the country by farsighted foreign and internal policy, achieved the growth in the different fields and created the strong independence. The rector noted as well that the whole very modern 33 years period of Azerbaijan is belonging to Haydar Aliyev. He emphasized that our country has achieved many successes in the different fields including education since 1969 in the period of the very modern life of last 30 years by the big efforts and smart statehood policy of the Great Leader. The achievements of our country are also running nowadays under the leadership of the president Mr. Ilham Aliyev and are lead our country towards the successful future.
Mr. Elmar Khalilov (the docent of department of Azerbaijan History) made a speech on “Haydar Aliyev is an architect of modern Azerbaijan”. Afterwards, the professor Mr. Hasan Sadigov (the head of the department of Law and Philosophy), the student of 2nd course of the faculty of History and Geography Ali Miraliyev and the student of 2nd course of faculty of Physics and Electro energetic Nijat Huseynov had speeches as well. The speakers widely spoke about the peerless efforts and services of Haydar Aliyev for the sake of our country and nation. They noted that the Great leader’s return took place while the country faced political threat of disappearance out of the world arena. Namely, in the period that Armenia has occupied a significant part of the country, the economy collapsed and the different armed groups brought about the civil war. The last hope of the nation was Haydar Aliyev to restore the stability.
Mr.Haydar Aliyev, the first azerbaijanian being promoted from the ordinary position to the top in the system of SSR state security sphere, made his best for the sake of national interests in the period of special sensitive times of ideological ideas controlled by soviet regime. Regardless the strict rules of Soviet regime he found the way to develop economical, scientific, artistic cultural and independent idea. By the large scale of efforts of the experienced public figure the public social stability of the country has been restored and the occupation of our lands by the unpleasant neighbors had been stopped. Meanwhile, he brought about the social economical conception to define the geopolitical attitude of Azerbaijan in the world’s policy. Mr. Haydar Aliyev saved Azerbaijan out of the political storms and restored its strategic attitudes.
The speakers noted as well that The Great Leader said while the speeches in order to define of his successor: “I believe that the hard issues, plans and subjects, still unsolved by me, will be settled by Ilham Aliyev with your help and support. I believe in him like myself and cherish for his successful future”. Meanwhile, it was pointed out that speaking about the present development way of Azerbaijan shall be noted that it is the result of consistent political way defined by National Leader.
During an event of Memorial Day the students, the winners of the contest “The best article” arranged in order to study deeply Haydar Aliyev’s life and heritage has been awarded with Diploma of Honor and gratuity by the rector Mr. Elkhan Huseynov. At the end an event went on with documentary film “The life sacrificed for the nation” dedicated to the meaningful life and various activity of Haydar Aliyev.
