The Scientific Board of the University has held its next meeting. The chairman of the Board professor Mr. E. Huseynov welcomed the members of the board to the meeting and congratulated the people mentioned below on occasion of conferment of PHD degrees by Supreme Attestation Commission under the President of Azerbaijan Republic:
An assistant of the department of Metrology and Standardization Mrs. Shamama Mammadova (PhD in Technique), senior lecturer of department of Literature of Azerbaijan and foreign countries Mr. Rovshan Mammadov (PhD in Philology) and an assistant of the department of Teaching Methods of Mathematics Mrs. Konul Aliyeva (PhD in Mathematics).
The rector wished them a success in their activity of the university. He noted that our university enjoys a big success in the field of the sports as well as the other fields. Thus, the third course student of faculty of Physics and Electroenergetic Vusal Hasanov demonstrated successful performance in the Judo contest at 100 kg and by winning the contest he took the first place. The rector congratulated him as well and wished him a lot of victories in the future.
Afterwards, the rector brought to the attention of the meeting members the subjects of the agenda.
The head of the department of Doctorate and Magistracy Mr. Sabir Khalilov made a report about the results of the dissertation works defense of graduate students by distant education. The director of Sumgait State Technical College (SSTC) Mrs. Matanet Pirguliyeva made a speech about the activities and perspectives of the college attached to SSU. She informed that the SSTC will open new specilaity subjects by which the college will expand the cooperation relationships with the university.
The head of the Education Methodic Board (EMB) an assoc. professor Mr. Musa Mustafayev made a speech about the activity of EMB. The head of the Scientific Center an assoc. professor Mr. Gadir Mansurov made a speech as well and widely spoke about the establishment in the university Editorship Board in order to improve the publication works of the university. He offered to name that Board as the Office of Editorship and publication works.
Besides, the vise-rector on Education arrangements and training technologies, Mr. Natig Talibov widely spoke about the structure changes conducted in the faculties. He informed that some departments will be combined accordingly.
The vise-rector on Distant, Corresponding and Extra Education Mr. Gafar Atayev widely spoke about his business trip to Sevilla University from March 6 to 10 where he participated in the conference dedicated to the project “Bachelor specilaity of open and distant learning on Energetic and Ecological efficiencies of the buildings in Azerbaijan, Russia and China”.
In the end of the meeting the scientific secretary of the university Mr. Aqil Huseynov informed the members of the meeting about the final resolution of the Scientific Board and that resolution had been approved unanimously.
