Alakbar Mammadov: The organization of Olympiad contributes the formation of students’ and undergraduates’ knowledge in the field of taxes.
Transparency of tax policy is one of the factors affecting the country’s entire development. On May 5, the final stage of the XI Olympiad on “Taxes” was held devoted to memory of great leader Heydar Aliyev at Education Centre of Ministry of Taxes in Shamakhi.
300 students and undergraduates from 17 high schools participated in this Olympiad. Counselor of Ministry of Taxes, general director of the department of taxpayer service and transparent tax partnership Alakbar Mammadov notified that, the organization of Olympiad contributes the formation of students’ and undergraduates’ knowledge in the field of taxes.
Then, attendees of Olympiad’s final stage tested their knowledge in the field of taxes made by Educational Centre. They had prepared individual test database consisting of generally 75 questions for final stage. Among them there were 50 questions on tax legislation for bachelors, 50 questions for undergraduates, 25 questions on tax administration. Olympiad was held in online mode. After conclusion of test the guests got acquainted with Educational Centre and Tax Museum and watched the progress of educational process.
The results were defined by the special computer programs under the supervision and participation of jury. According to Olympiad results 4th course student of economics and management faculty of Sumgait State University Parvin Musayev awarded 3rd place, as well as he was awarded with a certificate and a present.
It was noted that, the main goal of organizing Olympiad traditionally every year is to improve the knowledge of students studying in high schools in tax sphere, also to define the students with high levels of knowledge and to set up background for training specialists in the field of tax.
