The next open lesson dedicated to the genius HeydarAliyev’s 94th anniversary was held in HeydarAliyev center in Sumgayit.
The lesson was prepared by SSU students and professor offoreign languages department NigarIsgandarova, head teachers: SaadatKhalilova, DilaraKarimova, ZeynabAhmedova and teachers: HagigatValiyeva and JalaMammadova.
The materials illuminating HeydarAliyev’s life and work were taken from books, magazines and internet sites published in English. He had broad activity as a builder of modern history of Azerbaijan. In modern period, his role in formation of national identity of Azerbaijani people, its improvement and international reputation is undeniable. Main focus of the open lesson was on topics below: “HeydarAliyev’s language policy”, “HeydarAliyev’s youth policy”, “The great leader’s role in establishment and development of international relations”.
Along with the bachelor students of “English language teaching” of philology faculty and master students of “Linguistics”, Kayla Morton also took an active part in preparation of the lesson. She works as an assistant English teacher in foreign languages department through Fulbright Program ofthe US. Kayla Morton participated in the event with great interest and pleasure by preparing the presentation on establishment of relationships with US and Europe and its historical development.
At the end of the lesson a quiz “Do you know?” was held reflecting the great leader’s activities.
Personnel of Sumgayit city Department of Education, the Ministry of Sport and Youth, as well as, that of HeydarAliyev center of Sumgayitcity attended the open lesson.
