Large-scale reforms are implemented in our republic with the aim of raising the level of education and adapting it to international standards. All these serve to prepare highly qualified employees and strengthen scientific and technical potential of the country. Also, important things are done for fulfillment of modern scientific researches and raising their quality. This is contribution to the integration of education with science and vice versa. President Ilham Aliyev carries on Heydar Aliyev’s education policy and all types of issues relating to improvement of science, education and qualified employees are reflected in National Strategy for Science Development. It makes high schools more responsible. Thus, Sumgayit State University works on foregoing issues. Nowadays, orders, directions, signed by Mikayil Jabbarov, Ministry of Education have great impact especially on high schools. On October 6-8, 2017, with the official support of the Ministry of Education the 11th Azerbaijan International Education (“Education 2017”) exhibition under the motto “Human capital is our wealth” will be held at Baku Expo Center. Sumgayit State University will be represented in the exhibition for the first time.
New projects implemented by Ministry of Education in recent years and possible education opportunities will be presented in the exhibition. Stands of Ministry of Education will cover a wider area in comparison to previous years. Stands like “SABAH groups”, “Teach for Azerbaijan”, “Bir” student-volunteer program, “Maarifchi” student credit fund, “Healthy education – healthy nation”, “A friend of pupil”, “Modular type schools”, “Olympics Preparation Center”, “Information and communication technologies in education”, “School preparation”, “Library”, “”Education” Republican Sports Center”, “Icharishahar traditional art center”, “State Agency for Vocational Education” and “Children-youth development center” will be presented to exhibition atendees. Lectures will be delivered, start up participants will address and presentations will be demonstrated in the lecture hall. Winners of republican and international competitions will present their skills and national dances will be shown on the stage.
In general, stands of 14 high schools will get space. In the framework of the exhibition Germany, Austria, Belorus, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Hungary, Russia, Romania, Singapore, Slovakia and other countries will present their universities, colleges, general education institutions and educational centers.
This year, Education exhibition will distinguish with its wide work program and seminar called “My future profession and the way to it” will be organized. Moreover, bachelor, master and language courses, internships and trainings will be presented. Visitors will be able to communicate with representatives of leading universities and have a chance to get acquainted with admission process, education fee and other issues.

General sponsor of the exhibition is Kapital Bank which supports organization of republican subject olympiads and implementation of “Teach for Azerbaijan” program. The exhibition is also supported by Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Fund and National Confederation of Entrepreneurs' Organizations of the Azerbaijan Republic. Orginiser of the exhibition is Caspian Event Organiser (CEO).
It should be noted that SSU will be represented at the exhibition by physics and electroenergetics faculty with laboratory stand (subject of Electric machines), faculty of engineering with universal stand, spindle device, Information technology center on electronic control system with “Electronic university” project, faculty of philology with hand-made stand of students, as well as other structures, educational and scientific activities, published books, booklets and other print materials of the university.
