XXI republican scientific conference of PhD students and young researchers was held at Baku State University by organization of Ministry of Education.
Minister of Education Mikayil Jabbarov, heads of higher educational institutions, famous scholars, PhD students and young researchers attended the event.
Mikayil Jabbarov commenced the conference and widely spoke about the steps explored for increasing the interest and desire of youth to research work. He notified that, including the materials of the scientific conference to the list of scientific publications recommended by Higher Attestation Committee under President of Azerbaijan Republic is of great importance. The minister emphasized that, State Program “Azerbaijani youth in 2017-2021” approved by President Ilham Aliyev, “Financing doctoral education of young scholars of Azerbaijan Academy of National Sciences in scientific centers of Europe”, “Constituting President award for youth” and other significant documents are obvious sample of attention and care shown to young generation. Noting the necessity of adjusting high-level specialist training to international standards, the minister pointed out the existence of scientific potential in higher educational institutions of the country.
Rector of BSU Abel Maharramov, executive director of Science Development Foundation under the President of Azerbaijan Republic Elchin Babayev, rector of Azerbaijan State Oil and Industrial University Mustafa Babanli emphasized the importance of involvement of youth to scientific researches and notified that, activities run in this direction are commendable.
Afterwards, PhD students of BSU and ASOIU gave speeches. PhD student and lecturer of department of Azerbaijan and Eastern European nations’ history of Sumgayit State University Gunay Shukurova gave speech on “Migration processes in globalized world” and mentioned that about 1 million of our citizens live as refugee and displaced, as well as migrant problem of Europe connected with events occurring in Near East.
It should be noted that, about 400 theses were presented to XXI republican scientific conference of PhD students and young researchers, which will last 2 days, by 18 higher educational institutions and ANAS. 14 sections were set up with guidance of scholars for listening to the theses. The materials of the conference will be published by BSU.
