On November 10, experts of UN Development program met with the students for ecological awareness.
Experts of UN Development program – HasanHuseynli, SevdaKhalilova, ElkhanMammadov and students participated at the event.
Vice-rector on Humanitarian issues associate professor RamizHuseynov commenced the event with opening speech and notified that, holding this kind of ecological educative events on mercury safety plays significant role on protecting environment, preserving it for future generations and for healthier life.
Widely speaking about several paragraphs of convention, expert HasanHuseynli informed participants on situation in Azerbaijan in this field. He noted that, the object of Minamata Convention is to preserve human health and environment from mercury and its combinations thrown as a result of anthropogenic impacts. Even though Azerbaijan has not joined to Minamata Convention, the country understands its significance. Such events inculcate love and respect to nature, attention and care to ecology and environment by young generation.
At the end of the event experts of UN Development program HasanHuseynli, SevdaKhalilova,ElkhanMammadov responded the questions of students.
