On November 18, election round was held for candidate students who is going to participate in VII republican competition of “Tomorrow’s scientists” in Sumgayit State University. JavanshirMammadov, Professor of SSU who guides pupils of Sumgayit city greeted tomorrow’s scientists and noted that schoolchildren from Sumgayit had satisfactory achievements. According to the order of MikayilJabbarov, Minister of Education relationship between our university and secondary educational institutions develops successfully, subject Olympiads on various majors are organized in our faculties. “Tomorrow’s scientists” is one of the prestigious competitions in the world and is dedicated to International Science and Engineering Fair (Intel ISEF) which is held in the United States of America. According to Education Minister’s order, the VII republican competition of “Tomorrow’s scientists” will be arranged on February 14-16 in 2018. Organizers of the foregoing competition are Ministry of Education, Ministry of Youth and Sports, HeydarAliyev Center, Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences and Republic Committee of Azerbaijan Education Workers Free Trade Union. The main aim of the competition is to create opportunity to IX-XI grade pupils for research and demonstration of their scientific achievements so that to determine candidates for representing in Intel ISEF held in USA every year. The competition is arranged for categories such as mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, medicine and health, ecology, engineering and computer. It should be noted that “Tomorrow’s scientists” republican competition has been holding since 2012.
Election round continued as testing where more than 150 pupils participated from schools of our city.
