On December 21, with the organization of economy and management faculty knowledge competition was held with carousel technique among second year students.
After sounding State Anthem of Azerbaijan Republic, Vice-rector for Humanitarian issues docent Ramiz Huseynov opening the event noted that Sumgayit State University strides a new development stage. “I can decisively say that our university’s way is a new development stage of Azerbaijani education system. SSU has special role in preparation of qualified cadres.”
Vice-rector talked about significance of State Program called “Azerbaijani youth in 2017-2021” which has been prepared by President IlhamAliyev on the basis of the Document of State Program “Azerbaijan 2020: vision of the future”Development Concept also signed by President Ilham Aliyev. Large-scale projects are being held at our university according to IlhamAliyev’s events and measures in the field of development of education and human capital. The aim of today’s knowledge competition is to organize young people’s free time effectively and stimulate their intellectual level and outlook. 
Four teams tested their knowledge in the competition: Accountants, Businessmen, Economists, Marketers. Team of Accountans was the winner. It should be noted that students delivered their home work as presentations. 
Dean of the Faculty of  Economy and Management docent  Aynura Yahyayeva congratulated the winner team and said that such kinds of competitions will be held in the future in series. She also thanked to the rector Professor Elkhan Huseynov for favorable conditions for comprehensive development of students.
