On December 21, 22 II Republican scientific conference was held entitled “World Azerbaijanis: history and modernity” dedicated to Solidarity Day of World Azerbaijanis with organization of Faculty of History of Baku State University, Department of Azerbaijan history and scientific-research laboratory of World Azerbaijanis: historical demography; with support of State Committee on Affairs with Diaspora and Ministry of Education.
Associate professor Azad Rzayev, the dean of the Faculty of History notified that, discussed subjects are dedicated to actual problems of history and are important for drawing students’ attention to scientific investigations. He wished success to conference participants.
The reports on different subjects were listened in the conference: Area and population of Azerbaijan: ethno-demographic processes; the scientific-theoretical view to ideology of Azerbaijanism; occupation of territories of Azerbaijan Republic by Armenia. 
Nofal Abdullayev, senior lecturer of the department of History and its teaching methods of Sumgayit State University delivered presentation on “Turkey’s place in energy policy of Azerbaijan” and Ismayil Fakhtiyev, IV course student of Faculty of History and geography presented “Armenian harassment to Azerbaijan and destroyed historical monuments”. They were awarded with certificates.
