On February 1, head of Automation of production processes department, academician of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan, doctor of technical sciences, Professor Nadirbek Yusupbekov visited Sumgayit State University.
First, vice-rector for Teaching organization and training technologies, docent Natig Talibov received the guest. He expressed his contentment for being in the university. N.Talibov gave information about university history, its international relations and education process; noted that SSU cooperates with several universities abroad and they have got bilateral agreements. “In recent years, the university has become a member of Association of State Universities of Caspian Sea Region Countries and Azerbaijan-Russia Association of Higher Education Institutions. Five-year quality seal – certificate is presented by ASIIN which is well-known accreditation agency of Europe for matching European standards of specialist preparation for 2 bachelor’s and 1 master’s degree majors. Also, ERASMUS+, TEMPUS, Mevlana Exchange Program projects are successfully realized at the university”.
Academician Nadirbek Yusupbekov thanked for warm reception. Academic visited the university for the first time and gave broad information about his university. He notified the importance of teacher-student exchange between the two universities.
Then, the guest visited modern laboratories of engineering faculty. Dean of the faculty Ulduz Aghayev informed the guest about work principles of laboratories.
