The Winners of VII Republican Contest “Scientists of Tomorrow” were Awarded

On February 16, award ceremony of winners of VII Republican contest “Scientists of Tomorrow” was held.
Deputy minister of Education Jeyhun Bayramov delivered speech and noted that the interest is growing rapidly to the Contest that is devoted to scientific creativity of pupils; the geography of participants is expanding; the projects are going to be more innovative and creative. Emphasizing gained achievements in 7 years, Jeyhun Bayramov notified that 1187 people participated overall: 549-girls, 638-boys. Further achievement of the pupils were analyzed by Ministry of Education and determined that the pupils who are engaged in research succeed in education and continue their education by being admitted to universities with high scores. 46 projects prepared by 79 pupils were selected by jury this year.12 pupils (7 projects) were awarded I place; 28 pupils (15 projects) II place; 39 pupils (24 projects) III place. French specialist was involved to jury this year unlike previous years. 
After awarding selected winners on 8 nominations, the names of project authors who will participate in Intel ISEF-International Science and Engineering Fair to be held in USA were announced. The following people were chosen as the best project authors: Aliagha Abdullayev, Adnan Bunyatov- on section of physics and astronomy; Fidan Ibrahimova – on biology; Mahammad Hajiyev – on ecology and management of environment; Jeyla Huseynzade, Javid Huseynzade – on computer sciences. 
The winners were presented diploma, medal and money award. 
It should be noted that scientific support is provided by Sumgayit State University to secondary schools in Sumgayit. Chosen pupils participated in the contest under the guidance of professor of SSU Javanshir Mammadov, by preparing scientific projects on specialties which were jointly determined by professor-teaching staff of the University. The pupils were awarded in the ceremony: Ayan Abdulova, Nasiba Mammadli, IX grade students of Gymnasium of Natural Sciences in Sumgayit on section of medicine and health – I place (“Interface managed by brain for disabled people”); Emil Mammadov, Farid Allahverdiyev, X grade students of Tafakkur lyceum on section of ecology and management of environment – II place (“Transformation of rain and snow water to drinking water used in household”); Zeynab Aghabayli, X grade student of lyceum of technical and natural sciences on engineering (“Control system for remote mine seekers”); Seymur Talibov, XI  grade student of school № 16 on computer sciences (“Tea growing management program”); Aytaj Aliyeva, IX grade student of Gymnasium of Natural Sciences (“Communication software of people with speech defects”); Rahida Hasanova, Farida Bakhshaliyeva, IX grade students of school №  29 on ecology and management of environment (“Healthy environment for healthy life”); Rasul Hasanaliyev, Ali Abdullazade, IX grade students of Sumgayit Istak lyceum on chemistry (“Electrochemical reduction of carbon dioxide”); Laman Alipashayeva, X grade student of Gymnasium of Natural Sciences on physics and astronomy (“Increasing sound functions of piano notes”) – III place.
