On February 28, the next training on “Heydar Aliyev and state woman policy in Azerbaijan” was held at SSU Heydar Aliyev school.
Rector Professor Elkhan Huseynov talked about women’s position and role in society, in social and political life of the university and their achievements. He noted that today Azerbaijani woman is acting as an active member of society. She has always been holding the nation's name high with her intellect, wisdom, fidelity, heroism, faithfulness, high maternal quality. Nowadays, family, woman and child policy is prior direction of the state policy and in fields of education, health care, culture the majority of employees are women. There is no already any field that women are not represented in. This was the part of Heydar Aliyev’s policy. Generally, he paid special attention to solutions of Azerbaijani women’s problems, increase of their role in political, social, economic and cultural life of the country. Heydar Aliyev established state strategy in the field of gender equality and women's empowerment with the aim of ensuring their participation in especially public administration. Therefore, he signed order dated March 6, 2000, “On implementation of state woman policy in Azerbaijan Republic” and Cabinet of Ministers ratified it with its “National Action Plan (2000-2005) for women’s problems of Azerbaijan Republic”. On the example of first lady Mehriban Aliyeva reputation of Azerbaijani women in the world is the result of gender policy of the country. 
Notifying that women in Azerbaijan are getting more active by playing important role in socio-political life of our country some guests delivered speech on topics below: head of foreign languages department, Professor Nigar Isgandarova – “Heydar Aliyev and woman policy of Azerbaijan”, first year student of engineering faculty Miralim Baghirov – “Ilham Aliyev is a follower of Heydar Aliyev’s woman policy”, dean of physics and electroenergetics docent Tamella Ahmadova – “Mehriban Aliyeva’s activities are example for women”, head of International Cooperation Office Samira Mammadova – “Heydar Aliyev as a propagandist of Azerbaijani culture in the world”, senior lawyer docent Amina Hasanova – “Legal aspects of gender politics in Azerbaijan”. 
In the end, membership cards of New Azerbaijan Party were introduced to a group of students.
