On March 29, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between Sumgayit State University and International Training and Project Center for the purpose of improvement of business environment in Azerbaijan, application of scientific-technical achievements to development of entrepreneurship and supporting the development of educative works in entrepreneurship subjects. The document was signed by SSU rector Professor Elkhan Huseynov and Executive Director of International Training and Project Center Tariyel Dovlatov. The memorandum implies the development of business environment between the university and the center as a main factor of socio-economic development, internship for SSU students in the center and its member organizations (Azersun Holding, Access Bank OJSC, Bank of Baku OJSC, Kapital Bank, Avrora, Delta Group, Inci Group), ensuring the participation of employees in trainings and seminars organized by the center, support to the university for involving in projects as a partner or coordinator financed by European Commission EACEA in the framework of Erasmus+; KA2 and KA1, localization of international certification and accreditation programs within the university, preparation for programs such as IELTS, TOEFL, SAT, GRE, GMAT, ACCE, PMP, arrangements of SSU students’ attendance in seminars organized by the center, using scientific potential of SSU in researches conducted by the center.
Rector Professor Elkhan Huseynov gave information about university’s activity and its international relations. He noted that President Ilham Aliyev’s attention and care for education is one of the main principles of state policy. The process covers not only the capital, but also regions. Sumgayit State University has become one of the educational institutions of the country which provides enterprises with qualified cadres. It has been a part of international projects, expanded international relations year after year and is a member of Caspian State University Association and Azerbaijan-Russia Association of Higher Education Institutions. At the present, our university has got bilateral agreements with University of Cologne (Germany), Graz University of Technology (Austria), Warsaw University of Technology (Poland), Ufa State Petroleum Technological University (Russia), Samara State Technical University (Russia), etc. Rector also noted that agreements on bilateral partnership are effective and successfully implemented. The purpose is to increase SSU’s reputation in zone of science and education of the world and to get admitted to well-known university associations.
Rector emphasized the importance of future work in the frame of the memorandum and said that he is hopeful about successful partnership.
Executive director of International Training and Project Center Tariyel Dovlatov and director of international project department of the center Zafar Hasanov talked about the organization’s mission, its work, implemented projects and contributions of the signed partnership.
