THE FIRST DEFENSE IN THE DISSERTATION COUNCIL HELD

On March 30, in Dissertation Council PhD candidate of the department of Automatisation of processes Afat Huseynova defended her dissertation work on “Development of methodical bases for indirect measurement of catalyst circulation dynamics parameters in cracking process” for getting a PhD degree in 3337.01 - Information measurement and control systems (on fields). The meeting was held with the leadership of Dissertation Council chairman Professor Akbar Aghayev. After Afat Huseynova’s report questions by council members were responded comprehensively. Innovations and theses sounded in defense process were met with interest. Opponents and scientists who delivered speech drew attention to coverage of the scientific work. The Dissertation Council decided that the applicant is worthy to receive a PhD degree considering the official opponents’, some scholars’ opinions and opinions on her abstract, published articles on dissertation work in local and foreign scientific journals and its relevance to requirements of Higher Attestation Commission under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
It should be noted that according to the decision of Presidium of the Higher Attestation Commission under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, dated December 15, 2017 (protocol №21-R) FD.02.193 Dissertation Council has been established in order to hold PhD dissertation defense within Sumgayit State University. The defense of dissertation works which were presented for getting PhD and doctor of science academic degrees will be provided for specialties of 3337.01 – “Information measurement and management systems (for fields)” (technical) and 3303.01 – “Chemical technology and engineering” (chemistry). The structure of the board consists of 13 persons. Professor Akbar Aghayev, the honored teacher of Azerbaijan Republic, doctor of chemical sciences was appointed a chairman of Dissertation Council; doctor of technical sciences Agil Huseynov was appointed a deputy chairman and PhD in chemistry docent Musa Mustafayev a scientific secretary.
