As in all fields Heydar Aliyev always paid great attention to Azerbaijani people’s national culture, its historical sources and took care of its protection. During his administration he carried out measures for making successful talented people known abroad in the fields of music, ballet, theatre and cinema. In a word, Heydar Aliyev always was a protector of Azerbaijani culture. Promotion of Azerbaijani music throughout the world, making the country international cultural center, care for national-moral values, literature, culture, art caused rise in cultural life. The process of cultural prosperity, enrichment and renewal is expanding. Heydar Aliyev’s policy in cultural field is continued by the first vice-president, president of Heydar Aliyev Fund, goodwill ambassador of UNESCO and ISESCO Mehriban Aliyeva.
On April 3, with the organization of Ministry of Education and Republic Committee of Independent Trade Union of Azerbaijan Education Employees a review was held on artistic-creative festival of high, vocational and secondary school students dedicated to 95th anniversary of Heydar Aliyev. The main purpose is to instill a sense of respect and patriotism in youth; to heighten their artistic-aesthetic level, to form a cultural lifestyle, to reveal talented young people in different fields of the culture and to support the improvement of their skills.
In review, poems and songs were performed by students professionally and applauded by a jury. The jury consisted of famous culture and art figures of Azerbaijan Republic: vice-rector of Baku Choreography Academy Tarana Muradova, poet Baba Vaziroghlu, composer Naila Mirmammadli, chief director of Opera and Ballet Theater Hafiz Guliyev, honored artist Tayyar Bayramov, a teacher of National Conservatory Arslan Novrasli.
Final concert of festival winners will be held in May and they will be awarded diplomas and presents by Ministry of Education and ITUAEE.
