On April 25, the gala concert of the Nationwide “Student spring” creativity festival was held at Azerbaijan State Musical Theater.
Youth and Sports Minister Azad Rahimov talked about the importance of the festival and emphasized that, “Student spring” creativity festival has been held since 2007 by the Ministry of Youth and Sports among the students of higher educational institutions. The festival has always been substantial in revealing talented youth. The winners of the festival have successfully represented our country in international contests, as well as in “Eurovision” song contest. 
The Minister notified that this project is one of the successful projects of Ministry of Youth and Sports. “The number of our talented and intelligent students is increasing. More than 3000 students have been participated at this project since 2007. This project is an excellent opportunity to promote the culture among young people.”
Azad Rahimov also noted that the purpose of holding the festival is to improve collectives of students, to organize exchange of youth among circles functioning at higher educational institutions, to open up creative and skillful youth, to increase state care towards them and to create conditions for forming new contacts and relations. The Minister pointed out successful realization of several youth oriented projects in our country with the support of President Ilham Aliyev. 
The chairman of Azerbaijan Student Youth Organizations’ Union, deputy of Milli Majlis Shahin Ismayilov spoke about the importance of the festival in his speech and wished success to participants. He noted that selection round of the festival was held from April 3 to April 6.  More than 800 students from 15 higher educational institutions demonstrated their talents in different nominations in selection rounds. This fact shows growing interest to the project. 
The event went on with musical spectacle of students. It should be noted that the “Sema” dance ensemble of Sumgayit State University was awarded the third place on nomination “National dances” and I course student of Economics and Management Faculty Qasham Jafarov was awarded I place on music nomination “Estrada”. 
At the end of the festival the winners were awarded with diplomas and keepsakes by Youth and Sports Ministry and Student Youth Organizations" Union.
