On April 30, the next meeting was held of Sumgayit State University Scientific Board. Rector of the university Professor ElkhanHuseynov before announcing the agenda of the meeting talked about presidential elections of April 11 and IlhamAliyev’s election for the fourth term presidency. Rector talked about important duties of SSU collective in public-political life of the country. He noted that our future consists of new targets and great enthusiasm. He expressed his belief for IlhamAliyev’s next term’s success. “Recently JeyhunBayramov has been appointed a minister of education according to IlhamAliyev’s order dated April 23, 2018. We congratulate him for the new post and wish him success.” Then, issues on the agenda were discussed.
Vice-rector for humanitarian issues docent RamizHuseynov informed that the events will be held dedicated to HeydarAliyev’s 95th anniversary and Azerbaijan Democratic Republic’s 100th anniversary.
Vice-rector for science and innovations RamazanMammadov delivered a speech about work done after accreditation held in 2014/2015 academic year. He noted that since 2014 reforms have been carried out in our university in the fields of science and education. 
Head of Doctorate and master programs office docent SabirKhalilov gave information about master students’ scientific research, results of scientific pedagogical experience and attestations; dean of physics and electroenergetics faculty TamellaAhmedova informed about joint cooperation with Saint-Petersburg Polytechnic University and Kazan State Energetics University on the basis of Memorandum of Russia-Azerbaijan Universities Association. 
The meeting continued with mutual discussions and expressing suggestions.
