On May 12, the event was held entitled “A scientist illuminating history of our language” dedicated to 110th anniversary of philologist Hadi Mirzazade organized by the Faculty of Philology. Along with the professor-teaching staff and students, the children of deceased scholar: Chimnaz khanum head of the Department of Languages of the Theology Faculty of Baku State University and Afat khanum Mirzazade participated in the event. 
Vice-rector on Humanitarian issues docent Ramiz Huseynov commenced the event, greeted the guests, expressed his gratitude to rector of University Professor Elkhan Huseynov for created circumstances and asked Chimnaz Mirzazade to share her memories about her father. She thanked to Professor Elkhan Huseynov and the organizers of the event for shown respect and honor to creations of Hadi Mirzazade. 
Dean of the Faculty of Philology docent Sevinj Hamzayeva, head of the Department of Azerbaijani language and its teaching methods Boyukkhanim Eminli, and professor of the Department Aslan Bayramov commemorated the scientist and expressed their gratitude to organizers of the event. 
Students of the Faculty: Ulvi Sadigov, Elmira Yagubova, Elvira Aziyeva, Gamar Mahmudova, Sagi Aliyev, Tamella Abbasova, Shargiyya Mammadova, Habib Bayramli, Ayshan Aghabalayeva, Shamsiyya Dadashova and Yunis Zeynalov gave wide information about conducted researches and scientific works of Hadi Mirzazade, one of the first researchers of history of Azerbaijani language. At the same time the video was presented demonstrating the life and creativity of Hadi Mirzazade. 
The most interesting part of the event was performance of characters of the scholar’s children by little ones: Aysu Mirkishili, Malak Musayeva and Khayyam Gasimli and the character of Mirza Hadi by the student of group of 992a Habib Bayramov.
Afterwards, Bayati-shiraz mugham was sounded by Khayyam Gasimli and Hasan Hasanzade; the song “We will not forget” was performed by Ayna Yadigarova, composed by Khayyam Mirzazade, written by Elnara Ahmadova.
After the event Professor Elkhan Huseynov accepted the organizers and guests. He expressed his gratitude to Chimnaz and Afat Mirzazade for their visit to the University. Chimnaz khanum presented Hadi Mirzazade’s books to rector. He promised to keep the books in the library of the University and create their electron variants for the use of students and professor-teaching staff. Elkhan Huseynov gave special gifts with the symbols of our University to Afat khanum and Chimnaz khanum.
