On May 23, the presentation of essay competition on “April message” by Azerbaijani Armed Forces to Armenians” was held at Sumgayit State University by financial assistance of Public Union of Media and Education Innovations Centre and Council on State Support to Non-Governmental Organizations under the President of Azerbaijan Republic. 
At first, the martyrs of April fights were commemorated with a minute of silence.
Chairwoman of Public Union of Media and Education Innovations Centre Saida Huseynova delivered speech and spoke about historical significance of April fights which are the honor and proud of our nation and army. She emphasized that Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev has always paid special attention to army building and caused the great return to liberated territories. Saida Huseynova notified that the purpose of holding the essay competition is to promote successful military operations conducted by Azerbaijani Armed Forces on April, 2016 and military, psychological and moral achievements gained against Armenians.
The member of Managerial Staff of the Union Taleh Aliyev and the project expert Ilham Ismayil pointed out the importance of the contest. 2 years have passed since the April fights which are among glorious historical victories of Azerbaijani Armed Forces. These fights demonstrated solidarity of Azerbaijani people. Everyone expressed own attitude to this event regardless of their political and social status, financial condition and belief. Every student will express his attitude and demonstrate the love to motherland in this essay competition held on “April message”.
It should be noted that the competition will be held among students of Baku State University, Azerbaijan State Pedagogical University and Sumgayit State University. Presented essays will be broadcasted via sites and social networks, as well as will be published as a book. At the end, the winners will be awarded with diplomas and presents.
