On May 31, the next meeting of Sumgayit State University Scientific Board was held. Before announcing agenda of the meeting, rector of University Professor Elkhan Huseynov noted that the order by President Ilham Aliyev on granting personal pension to Professor Hasan Sadigov for his long-term productive activity in the field of education was welcomed with joy by professor-teaching staff and collective of our University. The confidence to our collective stimulates the intellectuals to work decisively for formulating scientific elite of the country.
The following people made reports accordingly: Chairman of Teaching Methodical Centre docent Isabal Gurbanov about the results of colloquium conducted in academic groups and the condition of exam session preparation; vice-rector on Science and innovations Professor Ramazan Mammadov about consequences of conferences held at the University and head of Teaching Methodical Board docent Musa Mustafayev about outcomes of open lessons held at the departments.
In the meeting, dean of chemistry and biology faculty docent Mahal Muradov talked about their participation with a group of students in subject Olympiad on “Processes and apparatuses of chemical industry” held in Ufa State Petroleum Technical University. He noted that our students represented us successfully. Sharing his visit impressions he delivered Ufa State Petroleum Technical University’s rector Professor Ramil Bakhtizin’s greetings to Professor Elkhan Huseynov and read Ramil Bakhtizin’s letter of appreciation. Mahal Muradov talked about solid foundation and future perspectives of bilateral relations.
Issues on the agenda were discussed by Board members and decisions were made. Rector gave instructions and advice relating to decisions made in the meeting and upcoming tasks.
Scientific secretary Mukhtar Samadov delivering speech about granting educational materials the right to publish, noted that 7 educational resources were given the right to publish. He emphasized that teaching resources have been discussed in related departments and scientific boards of faculties and have been recommended to Scientific Board with expert review of relevant sections of SSU Editorial and Publishing Council. Subject programs are recommended to Scientific Board by scientific boards of faculties and Educational Methodological Council of SSU. Then, discussions were held around obtaining the title of associate professor by 3 employees’ and selecting one co-worker as a part-time professor. A decision was made according to secret voting. Next meeting of Scientific Board concluded.
