On August 30, the meeting was organized with representatives of higher educational institutions and members of ETS Global Institute together with chairwoman of Board of Directors of SEC Maleyka Abbaszade. Head of the Department of Foreign Languages Professor Nigar Isgandarova, head of the International Cooperation Office PhD on history Samira Mammadova and employee of Linguistic Centre Aysel Eminova represented Sumgayit State University.
Chairwoman of Board of Directors of SEC Maleyka Abbaszade made welcome speech and emphasized the significance of English as a foreign language in present information century and importance of its teaching in the country.
Turkish office representatives of ETS Global Institute: academic and state relations coordinator Zeynep Kaptan and business issues coordinator Simla Yujeak spoke about future cooperation opportunities in terms of adaptation of local exams to international exams and called higher educational institutions be active in this direction.
In addition, members of ETS Global Institute gave wide information to participants about the exams that meet various requirements, especially TOEFL exam and noted that it will be good if universities contribute to cooperation of SEC with ETS Global Institute. They emphasized the possibility of organization of international level exams in Azerbaijani language by using available opportunities and cadre potential of the universities.
