Sumgayit State University starts new academic year with its achievements. SSU is expanding its cooperation activity within the framework of Fulbright program. It should be noted that Dana Donahyu, Keyla Morton was working at SSU in the framework of the program for a year.
Jack Morris, who gained the right to participate at Fulbright program of USA, will be employed as an English teacher assistant at SSU in 2018-2019 academic year.
Jack Morris studied at Trinti University named after San Antonio in Texas state of USA in 2015-2017, took a 4-month course on Russian studies and Russian language at Saint Petersburg State University in 2016, was in federal law enforcement training on National park service in 2013, participated in the training on Society and environment at Claremont College in 2010-2012 and took a course on Environment management and world politics at Redland University in 2009. He occupied the positions of sector director at National Park Service, chief of Federal law enforcement, chief of law enforcement, professional skiing patrol, and person in charge on damage prevention.
It should be noted that Fulbright program was established in 1945 under legislation introduced by Senator of USA J. William Fulbright on provision of state support to “Education, culture and international student exchange in the fields of science”. After the adoption of the bill by the USA Senate, the graduates, professors and English language specialists of USA Universities are gaining the right to teach and conduct scientific-research works in 72 countries of the world within the program.
It is planned to assist English teachers, to conduct Conversation classes, to hold cultural events and to share information about American culture and history with students in the framework of the program. At the same time the seminars will be organized on Azerbaijani culture, language and history. Conversation classes will be held both for teachers and students.
