On October 31, the meeting was held with the students entitled “Love to homeland and being a worthy human” at Sumgayit State University by Internally Displaced Women Public Unity and Board of State Support to Non-Governmental Organizations under the President of Republic of Azerbaijan.

Vice-rector on Humanitarian Issues docent Ramiz Huseynov launched the event with welcome speech and hailed the guests. He highlighted the significance of the project and benefits of this kind of projects for youth. Shaping worthy citizens and healthy generation stands on the base of care and attention to youth and youth policy, carried out in Azerbaijan. Since strengthening statehood and independence, trustworthy assurance of the future depend on intellectual cadres. National Leader Heydar Aliyev said: “The youth has to know our future, our past, our language, our national values well. The youth who does not know our history, national values and national traditions cannot be a patriot. Every person should be a patriot. Patriotism is not only serving in the army, but also being loyal to homeland, loving it and being close to the land”.

Chairwoman of Internally Displaced Women Public Unity Zarifa Hamzayeva gave wide information about conducted projects and notified that it is about several years that the project on “Love to homeland and being a worthy human” has been held among young people, teenagers and personal staff of military unit, located in the battle line. But this year the project “Extending support for strengthening patriot spirit of youth, by conducting promotion works among them about battle path of officers, who were heroes of combats for the liberation of our lands” was held. The object of the project is to organize the meeting with teenagers, youth and the officers, who displayed heroism in the battles for the freedom of our territories, to promote them the valiant way of those officers and to instill the sense of patriotism.

The participants of the battles, close relatives of our martyrs, who were heroically martyred for the sake of homeland, took part in the meeting and spoke about the heroism of the martyrs, their love to their country. They called the youth be ready to the battle for liberation of occupied lands by the order of Supreme Commander-in Chief.

Necessity of holding this kind of educative events was highlighted in the meeting.
