Expanded meeting of Scientific Board was held on 27th of November. All department heads and section chiefs of the university were invited to the meeting.

Rector of university Professor Elkhan Huseynov informed Board members about the issues on meeting agenda.

At first, Professor Elkhan Huseynov informed about the discussions held in the meeting dated 23.11.2018 of Rectorate about the issues of execution of “State Program on improving international competitiveness of higher education system in the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2019-2023” approved by the Order dated November 16, 2018 of President of Azerbaijan Republic. He gave his assignments to proper structure heads for conducting substantial works on organizing mutual international dual diploma programs with prestigious education institutions on required specialties. He notified that the Commission was established under the chairmanship of vice-rector on Teaching organization and Training Technologies docent Natig Talibov.

Afterwards, the issues on agenda were discussed.

Chief of Doctorate and master programs office docent Sabir Khalilov delivered report about the condition of planning and implementing scientific-research works of the Departments of Differential equations and optimization, Azerbaijani and Eastern European nations’ history and Azerbaijan and foreign countries literature, as well as the results of attestation of Master and PhD students in Faculty scientific boards. Head of Teaching-methodical board docent Musa Mustafayev also gave information about results of open lessons in the departments.

Vice-rector on Teaching organization and Training Technologies docent Natig Talibov reported about participation of SSU associates at the trainings held in Applied Social Sciences University of Lithuania Republic within ERASMUS+EQAC project “Establishment and Development of Quality Assurance Centers in Azerbaijani universities”. He said: “We took part in the trainings within this project in Vilnius, Lithuania with a group of workers, from November 4 to 11. The object of the training is getting acquainted with methodology on assessment of higher education in Lithuania, application opportunities of this methodology to Azerbaijani higher education system, establishing Quality Assurance Centers in Azerbaijani universities and adjusting work principles of the centers to international standards. The event went on with the trainings “QPR –Quality process result software” in the University of SMK Social Applied Sciences”.

Scientific secretary Professor Mukhtar Samadov gave information about giving publication right (griffin) to teaching aids. He noted that the teaching aids have been reviewed in sections of Editorial and publication board and Teaching-methodical board of the university; have been recommended to Scientific Board by expert feedback.

The documents of applicant Hasanov Kh.A for getting scientific title of docent on the Department of Biology and its teaching methods were viewed.

Thus, the meeting of Scientific Board concluded.
