Ilham Aliyev: The New Azerbaijan Party is not only the largest political party in Azerbaijan, but also in the South Caucasus.

This powerful figure, who went down in history as the architect of modern Azerbaijan, is today recognized around the world as the Great Leader of the Azerbaijani people. We achieved independence with the will, courage, inflexibility and wisdom of this great personality, a powerful statesman. We passed the exams as a people, nation, state. The revival and progress of the Motherland in Azerbaijan, which every Azerbaijani is proud of, is connected with the name of the Great Leader, who dedicated more than 50 years of his life to the history of our national statehood. National self, national identity, three courageous steps taken in the history of our national identity, three sanctities are valuable for every Azerbaijani: raising the Azerbaijani flag as a state symbol in the Nakhchivan Supreme Assembly, establishing the Day of Solidarity of World Azerbaijanis and establishing the New Azerbaijan Party. These wise decisions, made for the unity and integrity of our people, united our multi-ethnic country under one flag, around one party - the New Azerbaijan Party. Today, about eight hundred thousand of our citizens find faith and unity in the name of Azerbaijan around the New Azerbaijan Party, come to political solidarity, and about 50 million of our compatriots scattered around the world love Azerbaijan as their homeland.

The VII Congress of the New Azerbaijan Party is a significant and important socio-political event for both our country and our party. Because the YAP is a nationwide party uniting people from all walks of life and is a leading force in the development of socio-political relations within the country, as well as in the progress of Azerbaijan. The VI Congress of the party was held 3 years ago - in 2018. Many changes have taken place since then, and new realities have emerged. Parliamentary and presidential elections have been held in our country, and under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev, systematic, large-scale and comprehensive reforms covering various areas have been implemented. At the same time, new goals and strategic priorities for the future development of Azerbaijan have been identified, steps have been taken in this direction, and serious achievements have been made. Most importantly, the Azerbaijani Army has won a great victory in the 44-day Patriotic War under the leadership of our Supreme Commander-in-Chief, Mr. Ilham Aliyev. As a result, Azerbaijan"s territorial integrity and historical justice have been restored. That is, Azerbaijan has already created new realities. From this point of view, the New Azerbaijan Party also had to form its activity in accordance with the requirements and challenges of the time. This was also one of the factors necessitating the next congress of the New Azerbaijan Party. The adoption of important decisions on the reorganization of the party"s governing structures, the approval of the party"s new charter, the election of the Board, the Audit Commission, the Veterans Council and the consideration of applications of a number of political parties to join the New Azerbaijan Party are clear evidence of this. In accordance with the new Charter of the New Azerbaijan Party, Mehriban Aliyeva was appointed First Deputy Chairman of the party by the order of the chairman of the party Ilham Aliyev. Mehriban Aliyeva"s activity as the First Deputy Chairman of the party is very important in terms of increasing the prestige and power of the New Azerbaijan Party and public support for the New Azerbaijan Party.

Based on the principles of humanism and patriotism, Mehriban Aliyeva is a politician who has made an exceptional contribution to further strengthening the positive international image of our country and bringing the realities of Azerbaijan to the attention of the world community.

The accession of 6 political parties to the YAP is an indicator and result of the political dialogue environment in our country. It is known that the process of political dialogue has been launched in our country within the framework of the reforms carried out on the basis of the will of President Ilham Aliyev. Confidence among political forces has increased, and the integration process has accelerated. This, in turn, was an important contribution to strengthening national solidarity. The resolute support of most political parties to our Supreme Commander-in-Chief and the Azerbaijani Army during the 44-day war is a clear example of this political unity and national solidarity.

In his speech at the congress, the President stressed: “Our glorious victory is a source of pride. Today, our victory is being studied in the leading universities of the world"s leading countries. The people of Azerbaijan have shown unity and solidarity. The Azerbaijani Army showed courage, heroism and professionalism. All our people united as one fist, struck crushing blows to the enemy and liberated their historical lands from the occupiers. We have fulfilled this historic mission. "

The VII Congress of the New Azerbaijan Party once again showed that it is the ruling party of a multi-ethnic country, a country that embraces peace, stability, tolerance, multicultural, universal values, humanistic principles, friendship, brotherhood, dialogue of religions, cultures and civilizations. It is headed by the President of every Azerbaijani, Supreme Commander-in-Chief. WE ARE STRONG WITH HIM! Just as he stands behind the people, the people rely on him, believe in him, trust him!
