The place and role of each nation in the historical scene is determined by the extraordinary mission of the geniuses who assumed responsibility in some complex political conditions and played an essential role in its destiny, and formed stable traditions of statehood with progressive ideas and unusual management qualities. There have been a lot of historical figures, prominent politicians and statesmen who had exceptional service in the history of the Azerbaijani people and in solving fateful issues. They were remembered and not forgotten by their great work. Heydar Aliyev, an outstanding statesman and world-class politician who got the title of the National Leader of the Azerbaijani people, has a special role among such historical figures.

The combination of national leadership and political leadership qualities in one statesman is a rare and unique case in human history. Along with these two qualities, the Great leader confirmed himself as the first person in all other areas of his activity.

Such selected personalities, gifted by God, create an optimal state model and political succession traditions based on the state mentality, political worldview, and national values that have been refined over the centuries. God also gives such personalities a mission of salvation.

The process of formation of each nation as a nation, establishment of a state and confirmation of itself in history, as well as the direction of its progress takes place in the context of the existence of a certain heritage. Human history shows that this political heritage is mainly formed by the activities of the leaders, commanders, and outstanding personalities of the nations.

There are leaders who are recognized after many years of work in the field of political activity and state administration, and there are people who have this instinct, coded in their genes, in short, it is a divine gift. Heydar Aliyev is one of the latter. Another important point is the question of authority. Heydar Aliyev was a leader whose words were true not only at the level of Azerbaijan, but also at the level of the former union, and even at the level of the West. He was able to think and analyze internationally. These two points are among the professional traits that significantly distinguish him from his colleagues.

The world"s leading states, developed countries, and international organizations began to pay attention to Azerbaijan. Even in the most difficult moments, he showed invincible political will, the construction of the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan oil and Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum gas pipelines was the result of the decisive position and foresight of this great man. became a reality.

The determined statesman conducted domestic and foreign policy in a purposeful and balanced manner in accordance with international legal norms. It is because of these features that our people accept, respect and love him as a great Azerbaijani of the century, a savior of the people, an architect of the independent state of Azerbaijan .

Although Azerbaijan is a geographically small country, it never prevented Heydar Aliyev from asserting himself on the international scale as a great politician. The fact that Heydar Aliyev"s name was among the first in the international surveys conducted to determine the rating of the most famous and well-known politicians, in the research of political institutions and sociological centers, was the confirmation of his success in politics, life, and experience of statehood.

No one forced these people to go to the streets and roads. It was the human feelings that brought them here, the desire to pay their last debt to the Great Leader. With this move, he fell into the heart of every Azerbaijani forever.

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev is successfully continuing the political course of a genius today. The Great Leader, while handing over his baton to the new leader of Azerbaijan, his successor, President Ilham Aliyev, said: "I believe in him as much as myself and have great hopes for his future." The works that he could not complete are successfully carried out today. Now Azerbaijan is an influential state with a voice in the world.

Today, our country feels the success of this policy, lives with it and benefits from it. The executor of this policy is the worthy successor of our Great Leader, Mr. Ilham Aliyev, who is the shining embodiment of personnel policy. With his leadership, the policy of Heydar Aliyev lives and is successfully continued. Heydar Aliyev"s policy is the future-oriented basis of Azerbaijan"s success. His political course has been tested in difficult and fateful issues such as preserving and strengthening our state independence, raising the international image of Azerbaijan, and achieving socio-economic progress.
