THE PARTICIPATION OF FORMER INTERNALLY DISPLACED PERSONS IN THE ELECTIONS IN THEIR ANCESTRAL LANDS IS A HISTORICAL EVEN
‘We are living in such a historical period that today the attention of the international world is directed to Azerbaijan, which occupies one of the first places among countries that are advancing rapidly on a global scale.’ Ali Rzazadeh, head teacher of Sumgait State University, member of Azerbaijan Writers' Union, said these thoughts to secki-2024.az website.
‘The residents of our historical lands, which we have been longing for many years, will vote for their future by participating in the elections in their ancestral lands, not in other regions. This is a historical event. Every Azerbaijani citizen is looking forward to the election day - February 7 with joy and happiness, and every Azerbaijani is sure that the trend of development in all areas of our country, carried out with conspicuous, continuous and rapid steps, is entering a qualitatively new stage’, he stressed.
A. Rzazadeh reminded that after the glorious victory of Azerbaijan in the 44-day Patriotic War, the great powers of the world have entered the period of reckoning with strong Azerbaijan, which is not dependent on anyone and relies on its own economic and political power: ‘It is precisely factor that is considered a great victory of Azerbaijan in the world political arena.’
Taking into account the principle of ‘one hand does not make a vote’, we must all unite as a fist for the successful implementation of all social programs and development plans, show solidarity in these historic elections, and aim for the same goal to promote national development. The first step towards this goal starts with participating in the elections.’
