ILHAM ALIYEV AND FIRST LADY MEHRIBAN ALIYEVA TOOK PART IN A MARCH IN MEMORY OF THE MARTYRS OF THE GREAT PATRIOTIC WAR
A march was organized in Baku on September 27 - Remembrance Day - in honor of our soldiers and officers killed in the battles for the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan, killed civilians and missing compatriots.
Supreme Commander-in-Chief, President Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva took part in the march.
Then the head of state laid the foundation of the Patriotic War Memorial Complex and the Victory Museum.
At 12:00 local time, the memory of the martyrs was commemorated throughout the country with a minute of silence.
After the groundbreaking ceremony, President, Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva visited the Seaside Boulevard and paid tribute to the memory of our heroic martyrs.
There was a continuous whistling sound from the warships lined up in the coastal waters of the Caspian Sea, and volleys of artillery were fired.
