THE EXCELLENCE CENTER
THE EXCELLENCE CENTER WAS ESTABLISHED BY THE DECISION OF THE SCIENTIFIC COUNCIL OF SUMGAIT STATE UNIVERSITY (SSU) DATED SEPTEMBER 6, 2024.
The priority task of the center is to effectively organize the free time of students and employees at the university, and to support their academic success, knowledge and skills acquisition, as well as student clubs and study groups. Along with these, the Center creates clubs that intensively revive the activities of students and employees in the social, cultural, art, and sports fields, helps students to increase their self-confidence by effectively spending their extracurricular time, involves them in joint events with other universities to enrich intellectual knowledge, and seeks resources for the implementation of social ideas. Also this center aims to form an effective educational environment, to take complex measures that will serve to improve the social and moral well-being of students, to monitor the activities of student clubs and groups, as well as implement events that will encourage young people to science and education. At the same time, the Center prepares and fullfils certain proposals in the direction of researching relevant practices and improving work in this field.Ali Ittifaq oghlu Rzayev, senior lecturer of the department of Azerbaijani language and its teaching at the faculty of Philology, was appointed as the director of the Excellence Center by the order of SSU rector dated 01.10.2024 (K-171/2). In 2002, Ali Rzayev, who graduated from Ganja State University"s Oriental Studies Faculty with honors, majored in Oriental languages (Arabic-Persian languages and literature), and in 2012 completed his master"s degree in "Arabic language and literature" at the "South Valley" University of Egypt. Ali Rzayev, who worked as a translator and an expert on Eastern countries in various institutions, currently teaches the subject "Old Azerbaijani alphabet" at the Philology, History and Geography faculties of SSU. Ali Rzayev, a member of the Union of Azerbaijani Writers, has translated some examples of Azerbaijani literature into Eastern (Arabic and Persian) languages, and is currently engaged in researching the original works of Nizami Ganjavi. The author, who is the author of eight fiction books, also represents Azerbaijan with his articles in the oriental-language world press. As part of the "Justice to Khojaly" campaign, his work "Justice to Khojaly" written in Arabic was published and presented in a number of Arabic-speaking countries.
