"Student of the Year" competition
The "Student of the Year" competition is held in order to create healthy competition among students, to increase their interest in science and education, and to evaluate the performance of distinguished students.
Rules:
Awards are in 4 nominations:
1. ‘Education’
2. ‘Science and innovation’
3. ‘Active student’
4. ‘Sports’
Only undergraduate students studying at SSU can participate in the competition.
Those who want to participate in the competition can apply for only one category.
Winners are determined by the Expert group.
To participate in the competition, relevant materials should be sent to the e-mail address shukur.aliyev@sdu.edu.az or submitted to SSU SUC (Scientific department, room #3) by December 16;
Participants must provide information on the following requirements:
- Information about themselves (name, surname, last name, faculty, group, course);
- Information relevant to the nomination applied for:
1. ‘Eduaction’
the academic indicators of the students;
participation in social projects and events related to the field of specialization;
certificate of participation in international student programs;
development at the practical level;
other information related to educational activities and achievements.
2. ‘Science and innovation’
published scientific articles (with links);
start-up activity;
activity in the work of SSU SSC and Innovation and Creativity Center;
national and international conferences attended and certificates;
other information related to activities and achievements in the field of science and innovation.
3. ‘Active student’
participation in cultural-mass events;
activity in student organizations;
intra-university, national and international events he participated in;
other information related to social activities.
4. ‘Sports’
activity in the university's sports club;
participation in internal university sports events;
local and foreign tournaments he participated in;
achievements in the field of sports;
other information about activities in the field of sports.
The expert group will select the finalists corresponding to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places in each nomination. The finalists will be awarded with Sumgayit State University's honorary diploma and gifts.
