Teaching technology of mathematics and informatics

According to the structural changes in the academic year 2024-2025, the Department of Mathematics and its Teaching Methodology of Sumgait State University was merged with the Department of Informatics and expanded, and the Department of Teaching Technology of Mathematics and Informatics was established. Currently, the department implements educational programs based on modern technologies, along with the application of modern methodical approaches to the teaching of Mathematics and Informatics.
This department also functions as an advanced teaching and research center that provides students with pedagogical and technological specialization. The purpose of the department is to provide students with professional knowledge and skills in the fields of both mathematics and informatics in accordance with the requirements of the 21st century. The head of the department is Heydarova Maftun Nizami gizi, PhD in mathematics, associate professor. 1 professor, 8 associate professors, 1 doctor of sciences, 11 candidates of sciences, 5 senior teachers and 10 assistant teachers work in the department. 18 graduate students are engaged in scientific work in the department.

1 monograph, 22 teaching books, 8 methodical books, 391 articles, 127 theses including 45 articles were published abroad. 32 syllabuses, 85 subject programs have been published.
