Mathematical analysis and differential equations

According to the structural changes in the 2024-2025 academic year, the departments of Mathematical Analysis and Theory of Functions and Differential Equations and Optimization of Sumgait State University were canceled and the Department of Mathematical Analysis and Differential Equations was established on their basis. Currently, the department implements educational programs based on modern technologies, along with the application of modern methodical approaches to the teaching of mathematics majors.
This department also functions as an advanced teaching and research center that provides students with pedagogical and technological specialization. The purpose of the department is to provide students with professional knowledge and skills in the field of mathematics and its application in accordance with the requirements of the modern era.
The head of the department is Seyfullayeva Khayala Idris gizi, PhD in mathematics, associate professor.
2 professors, 9 associate professors, 7 senior teachers and 8 assistants work in the department of mathematical analysis and differential equations. 3 doctoral students and 27 graduate students are engaged in scientific work in the department.

The main scientific publications of the department in recent years:
5 books, 260 articles, including 53 articles were published abroad. These articles were published in a journal included in the Web of Science and Scopus databases.
82 syllabuses, 4 monographs, 70 subject programs, 12 teaching books and 5 methodical books were published.
