Scientific research conducted in the department is multifaceted.Acquisition of TlJ_(1-x) 〖Ln〗_x 〖Gd〗_x S_2 〖Sl〗_2 crystals, determination of their physical properties, investigation of application fields. Determination of mechanical properties of ASPA composites.Determination of the Klein-Fock-Gordon equation for different potentials based on the Nikiforov-Uvorov method. Teaching methods and methodology of physics in continuous education system Institute of Physics of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Institute of Photoelectronics, Baku State University, National Aviation Academy, Azerbaijan Technical University, Laboratory of Physics of Magnetic Materials of the Scientific and Practical Center of the State Union of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Belarus, Biophysics and Information in Medicine of the Bukhara State Medical Institute of the Republic of Uzbekistan has scientific relations with the Department of Technologies. In November 2022, the staff of the department were awarded the honorary title of "Emerited teacher" by the decree of the President of the Republic for the occasion of the 60th anniversary of Sumgait State University and for their services in the development of education in Azerbaijan, and the title of "Advanced Education Worker" and many teachers were awarded Honorary diploma by the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
