NOVEL TEACHING AID HAS BEEN ISSUED
A new textbook “Countries of the world: a reference manual” has been issued. The authors of the book are employees of the Department of Geography and its teaching methods of the Faculty of History and Geography associate professor Zoya Abdullayeva and senior lecturers Masud Almammadli and Allahverdi Veliyev.
The manual is compiled on the basis of the curriculum on the subject of Economic and social geography of the world, studied in the specialty of Geography teacher. The book is intended for bachelor and master students studying in universities of the Republic of Azerbaijan in geographical specialties. The manual in statistical figures reflects the main geographical features of the countries of the world in recent years. The book contains detailed information on geographical location, territorial differentiation, population (natural growth, average life expectancy, urbanization) and differentiation by the level of economic development of world countries, as well as international organizations, ecology and the environment, refugees and migrants. The manual can be used by students studying in such specialties as regional studies, international relations, oriental studies, as well as doctoral students, teachers of geography of secondary schools. The book may be of interest to a wide readership.
