Improving the quality of education and bringing it to the level of international standards depends on many factors. One of them is the creation of an effective learning environment. Properly chosen form and method, accuracy, proper use of technical means play an important role in creating students' interest in subject and topics. In order to conduct classes in any subject, including geography, on the basis of new teaching technologies, to make available mastering of the topic, increase student activity in the classroom and provide visibility, the creation of a subject room is of great importance. For this purpose, subject-specific cabinet on geography was created. It is distinguished by the fact that there are all the conditions and equipment for observing nature, conducting experiments, demonstrating natural objects.

The cabinet was created with the organization of the Department of Geography and its teaching methods of History and geography faculty in auditorium 117. There are 5 stands in the room. They include information about famous travelers, Azerbaijani geographers, national parks, state nature reserves and devices used in geography. The cabinet, consisting of visual and technical means, will facilitate the coordination of students and teachers and allow students to work independently.
