On January 14, a group of parents of students studying at Sumgayit State University and docent Ramiz Huseynov, vice-rector for Humanitarian Affairs, director of the Teaching Methodical Center Faig Shirinov, deans of the faculties, members of the Student Scientific Society and the Student Youth Organization observed the exam process. The parents visited the educational buildings and watched the exams.

Ramiz Huseynov, vice-rector for Humanitarian Affairs, said he was pleased to see the parents at the university and spoke about the progress made by Sumgayit State University, the successes it has had over the years, its mission, and its close cooperation with many universities around the world. He said that our university is a member of the Caspian State Universities and the Association of Azerbaijan-Russian Higher Education Institutions. The university has been expanding its international relations with each passing year and is now an important bridge in the country"s integration into the world.

The pro-rector gave detailed information about the exam process. Stating that the doors of the university are open to all, the vice-rector said that parents can attend classes at any time, not just during the exam session. He said that the examination process is being monitored regularly with the participation of members of the Public Control and Advisory Board, parents, representatives of the public, non-governmental organizations and mass media. The aim is to ensure that the exams are fully objective and transparent, and that students" knowledge and skills are clearly defined.

The second year student of the Faculty of Chemistry and Biology Ilkin Ibrahimov’s parent Mubariz Ibrahimov, the parent of Afghan Khalilli- Salima Khalilli, the first-year student Narmin Garazade"s parent-Galib Garazade, the parent of the first-year students of the Faculty of Mathematics Fidan and Laman Ahadova-Faig Ahadov, the second year student of the Philology Faculty Rahila Ahadova-Rafael Ahadov, the first year student of the Faculty of Engineering Majid Alizade’s parent-Sabina Aliyeva, parent of Vusal and Emin Hajiyev- Elchin Hajiyev, a first-year student of the Physics and Electroenergetics faculty Ulviyya Jafarova’s parent Zulfiya Ismayilova, aunt of the first year student of the Faculty of Economics and Management Emil Mammadov-Aynur Mammadova and other parents spoke about the transparency of the exam process and highly appreciated the leadership"s efforts to ensure objectivity and transparency in the exam process.

The parent of the first-year students of the Faculty of Mathematics Fidan and Laman Ahadova-Faig Ahadov spoke about the high attention and care of President Ilham Aliyev and first Vice-President Mehriban Aliyeva in education, the successes and achievements in this area. He said: “Due to the attention and care, Sumgayit State University has become one of the leading universities in our country. I am sure that students studying at Sumgayit State University will take a worthy place in the labor market with their knowledge and skills and will contribute to the development of our country as a professional staff. Faig Ahadov expressed his deep gratitude to the leadership of the university for the conditions created in the university, the educational process and the discipline”.
