With our 44-day war of truth, which is equal to a century, the world order and balance have changed. History repeats itself, the flag of the land of heroes, the Land of Fire, Azerbaijan fluttered in the Shusha fortress on the summit of Murov.

The year 2020 was marked by a catastrophe (COVID - 19). "The most important thing for us is human health, citizen satisfaction," said President Ilham Aliyev, who protected the people from universal calamity in the worst days of the pandemic, and with all his steps turned the wisdom of National Leader Heydar Aliyev’s "The source of power in Azerbaijan is the people" into reality. Not content with this, he turned the country that received aid in the first years of independence and war into a country that did not receive aid during the pandemic, but did important work to eliminate the catastrophe as a leading force of the Non-Aligned Movement and the Turkish Council. Our 44-day war of truth, our historic victory over the hated enemy, was visible to the world.

"The idea of a mighty Armenian army, the dream of a Greater Armenia, has come to an end." At the same time, our esteemed President restored historical justice. Armenia, which has been violent and relying on the world"s double standards all its life, has made another historic mistake in the face of Pashinyan, saying "Karabakh is Armenia."

President Ilham Aliyev, as the Supreme Commander-in-Chief, did not forgive the Kocharyans and Zori Balayans in the face of Pashinyan, whose hands were drenched in the blood of the Azerbaijani people. "Karabakh is Azerbaijan!" he said. There was not a single exclamation in this emphasis, as if there were three arrows.

Today, in Kalbajar, Lachin and Shusha, to see our students, graduates among the heroes, such as Raji Hamidzadeh, a graduate of the Faculty of Physics and Power Engineering, and Vusal Verdiyev, a student of the Faculty of Economics and Management creates a different mood. This means that we have really brought up not only teachers, engineers, historians, chemists, economists, but also Persons and Citizens!The leadership of Sumgayit State University, professors, teachers and students wish our heroic graduates to return to their families as soon as possible, and look forward to meeting them. We thank their parents for raising such children. Our students and graduates who were martyred in the First and Second Karabakh Wars: Hamza Adiyev, Vagif Huseynov, Fuad Ahmadov, Mehdi Mehdiyev, Ibrahim Tagiyev, Vidadi Gahramanov, Mikayil Vahabzade, Seyfaddin Balagayev, Orkhan Teymurlu, Huseyn Soltanov, Tahmasib Garayev, Rashad Mikayilzade, Atraf Ganimatov, Elgun Guliyev and Kanan Muzaffarli, we bow before the souls of our martyrs!
