TEACHERS AND STUDENTS OF SSU TOOK PART IN THE WEBINAR
On March 3, the Institute of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan hosted the event "Driverless cars and educational-industrial cooperation" of series of webinars "The business world and trends in higher education".
The speaker at the webinar was Tarlan Suleymanov, co-founder and current co-chair of the Azerbaijan Science Association, who works as a machine-learning engineer at Oxbotica in the UK, continues his research at the Oxford Institute of Robotics.
In his speech, T. Suleymanov spoke about the perception of the environment of driverless cars, the detection of driveways and roadsides with cameras and lasers.
During the event, detailed information was provided about driverless cars, one of the technological innovations in the industry, their benefits to society, the obstacles they can create and the principles of operation. Opportunities for higher education institutions to participate in the technology transfer process were also discussed.
At the end of the webinar, which was attended by more than 200 participants, questions about innovations in education and industry were answered.
