It is a manifestation of the high care shown by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mr. Ilham Aliyev, to the families of martyrs and war veterans, that certain work is being done in this direction everywhere. Under the leadership of the rector of Sumgayit State University, Professor Elkhan Huseynov, the faculty and students of the university periodically visit the families of martyrs. On March 16, SSU Vice-Rector for Humanitarian Affairs, Associate Professor Ramiz Huseynov, Head of the Free Trade Union Committee, Associate Professor Elmar Khalilov and a group of young people visited the family of Captain Kamran Vagif oglu Ismayilov, who died heroically in the battles for the liberation of our lands, and presented holiday gifts to family members and inquired about the care of the family.

Expressing God's mercy to all our martyrs, Vice-Rector Associate Professor Ramiz Huseynov noted that strengthening the social protection and improving the welfare of the families of martyrs and war invalids is one of the main directions of state policy. For our victory in the 44-day war, the people of Azerbaijan were grateful to the Supreme Commander-in-Chief, President Ilham Aliyev, the glorious Azerbaijani Army, as well as our brave officers and soldiers, veterans and, most importantly, our martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the Motherland. It is our civic duty to pay attention to them, and each of us must be with the families of our heroes who lost their lives and blood for the sake of our territorial integrity, and our moral support.

During the conversation, Captain Kamran Ismayilov's wife Lamiya khanum said that Kamran Ismayilov graduated from the Azerbaijan Higher Military School named after Heydar Aliyev, completed his officer training course at the Armed Forces Training Center in 2012-2013 with a degree in motorized rifle platoon commander and began to serve in the army. Lieutenant K.Ismayilov was appointed platoon commander in the military unit "N" located in Tovuz region in 2013, continued his service in the military unit "N" located in Tovuz region in 2013-2017, in Gazakh region in 2017-2018. K.Ismayilov, who received the rank of senior lieutenant in 2016, started his service in 2018 as a unit commander in the military unit "N" located in Yevlakh region. K.Ismayilov, who was awarded the rank of captain in 2020, was repeatedly awarded the Order of Honor and other diplomas by the higher command, including the medal "For Flawless Service" III degree in various periods of military service.

Captain Kamran Ismayilov took an active part in the battles on the frontline from the first days of the 44-day war, was heroically killed in the battles for the freedom of Talysh and Sugovusha during the Patriotic War, which began on September 27, 2020. He was proud that when his son Kanan was born, another soldier would grow up for his country. Martyr Kamran Ismayilov's daughter was born last month, and the baby was named Gunay at the request of his father. It should be noted that Captain Kamran Vagif oglu Ismayilov, was posthumously awarded the medal "For the Motherland" after his death and the 3rd degree "For Service to the Fatherland" by the relevant orders of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan for his duty in combat operations to ensure the territorial integrity of the Republic of Azerbaijan, for his selflessness and courage in the destruction of enemy manpower and military equipment.
